Our purpose
Security and growth opportunities are the core benefits I believe money can provide. With these constantly in mind I seek not just to help you accumulate assets but to provide a well thought-out basis for balanced and abundant lives. Empowering clients to achieve the life they desire and deserve involves first fully understanding their intentions, and then building these into goals and strategies.
In accordance with this principle I and my team work with each client to achieve clarity and purpose in planning and executing a tailor-made strategy to protect, accumulate, distribute, and transfer the wealth of their lifetime in accordance with their personal values, goals, and wishes.
I have a special focus on deepening the relationship between donors and nonprofits by maximizing the benefits to both, in terms of leverage and tax benefits, of effectively structured major gifts, both during the donor's lifetime and after they are gone.
In the outcome of our work, your success is our success.
Community
Coming from a background in education and the performing arts, I believe firmly in the central value of these activities to society, and in the essential role nonprofits play in doing such work.
I serve on the Board of the Howland Cultural Center, founded in 1979 as a community center to promote the arts and to encourage people to include the arts in their lives. The organization presents concerts, dance performances, film, exhibitions, and meetings in an ornate brick building, in my hometown of Beacon, NY, designed by Richard Morris Hunt in the 1870s, and listed in 1973 on the National Register of Historic Places.
I am also a Board member and Treasurer of the Howland Chamber Music Circle, established as a distinct nonprofit in 1999, which uses Hunt's building with its fine acoustic to present an annual season of concerts and related events.
I serve as well on the Nonprofits Committee of the Dutchess County Chamber of Commerce. I'm a member of the Professional Advisors group for the Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley, and of the Estate Planning Council of Putnam County. I also volunteer on the Development Committee for the Special Olympics in Dutchess County in 2019.
